Hello, SOPHE Advocates:

Today, the House Appropriations Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Subcommittee met to consider their Fiscal Year 2025 proposal for these agencies and the many lifesaving and life-improving programs they provide.

The bill they approved to move forward includes severe cuts in programs SOPHE believes are critical for advancing public health and education. Some key initiatives and programs would be eliminated.

SOPHE urges its members and partners to educate themselves and take action on these issues. Several resources are below to assist you:
